General Psoriasis Pictures
The pictures below show various types of psoriasis.
As you can see, it can affect any part of the body.
Plaque Psoriasis Pictures
Plaque psoriasis is the most common type of psoriasis.
The pictures show the skin covered in red, silvery scales (that often itch or burn).
Patches are usually found on the arms, legs, trunk, or scalp. The most common areas are the knees and elbows.
Guttate Psoriasis Pictures
The pictures below show the small, salmon-pink drops on the skin that are
typical of guttate psoriasis. Usually there is a fine scale on the droplike lesion - finer than the
scales in plaque psoriasis.
Scalp Psoriasis Pictures
About half of psoriasis sufferers have psoriasis on the scalp.
Pustular Psoriasis Pictures
Pustular psoriasis causes pus-filled blisters that vary in size and location.
It often occurs on the hands and feet. The blisters can be localized, or spread over large areas of the body.
Nail Psoriasis Pictures
About 25% of psoriasis sufferers have psoriasis of the nails (also called psoriatic nail disease).
The nails become discolored (yellow), pitted, and raised from the finger due to fungus that builds up under them.
